Exactly How to Batch Cook and Meal Prep for a Week of Clean Eating.

Sooo.. Did you know that Your Nutrition is 80% of where your results come from? I know there are some of you that are totally killing it in the gym. Come on, Cardio Queens where you at? I use to be one of you too! You can cardio your little heart out but if you aren't fueling that body with what it needs then you are wasting your time. You will never get the results you want! I know this because that use to be me. I never lifted weights and I would run through fast food after the gym or eat a big hearty cheesy meal. So I really want to teach you how to set your week up for success. 

This is one of the BIGGEST things that I stress and love teaching my customers about. Meal Prepping and Clean Eating. I share my meal plans weekly in my groups and really focus on this. It's a lifestyle not a DIET! That should be what your focus is. Enjoying your favorites here and there but ultimately living a healthy life that you can easily maintain. I know that we all live busy lives so this makes things so much easier. Doing it once every week or even ever two weeks is going to make your life so much easier, keep you on track, and will save you money. OKAY, did I catch your attention now? ha ha ha 

I normally reserve Sunday's for Meal Prepping and Batch cooking. 



Alright so I'm going to teach you step by step how to prepare your week. This is just what I do but you will get a really good idea on how to prep your week so it's simple to just grab and go. 

Here is what you need to go to the grocery store for: 

Several Packs of Chicken Breast 
Lean Ground Turkey
Eggs 
Bag of Fish either Salmon or Tilapia 
You could also do a bag of Frozen Shrimp

You can do Fresh Veggies or Do Frozen. 
I mix it up. 
I normally have 
Fresh Asparagus 
Fresh Brussels Sprouts
Zucchini
Spaghetti Squash
Baby Spinach
-Honestly Just depends on my menu plan for the week on which I choose- 
Then I'll always grab some frozen Green beans, Stir Fry Veggie Mix, and Peas
If you want to do an egg white omelet 
Mushrooms, Peppers, Onions or Egg Muffins.

Apples
Strawberries
Blueberries 

Brown Rice
Quinoa 
Sweet Potatoes

Coconut Oil
Mrs dash Seasonings
Cayenne Pepper
Cumin
Chili Powder
Tin Foil 

How to meal prep for clean eating

1. You want to take a large baking sheet and cover it with tin foil 
This is where you are going to grab your chicken breasts and lay them out on the pan. 
Grab your favorite salt free seasonings and season front then flip and do the other side. 

2. Pre Heat the Oven to 350 and bake for about 30-40 mins until tender. You don't want to over cook. You can use a meat thermometer if you need so you don't over cook it. You want your meat to be nice and juicy.

3. While that is cooking, You are going to grab your brown rice. There are Two Ways you can do this
If you have a rice steamer you can load that baby up according to the directions and your rice will just easily cook on it's on. You can add in some fresh herbs to the steamer and it will be delicious. If you don't have a rice steamer you can do this in a pot on the stove. Follow the directions on the bag for water to rice ratio. You want to make a pretty big batch so you have enough for the week or if you are doing two weeks for two weeks. Let the water boil and then add in your rice once boiled.

4. Remember to keep an eye on those chicken breasts, you even may have to suction out some of the juice so it doesn't overflow in to your oven. 

5. It's time to grab another big deep pan and get all of your ground turkey. Toss it into the pan and cook until browned. You can season again with any non salt seasonings. Once done drain out any grease. 

6. Last but not least you have your Sweet Potatoes. You want to scrub these and wash really well. Grab a baking sheet and throw them on and in the oven. These will take a bit of time. Probably about an hour to cook. Just keep an eye and poke holes. Once tender all the way through they will be done.

This is what our chicken and sweet potatoes will look like when they are all done. Right when you grab your sweet potatoes out of the oven slice them down the middle so they can cool down. Your rice should be finishing up too. But be sure to put your rice on at the beginning because it does take some time to cook. 

7. Once everything cools down it's time to portion it all out and bag it up so you can grab and go. 
Grab your chicken breasts and slice it all up in to bite sized peaces. Grab a cutting bored and get to town. You will have a big bowl of sliced up chicken chunks. that you can just portion out and put in baggies. I use the 21 Day Fix Menu plan in all of my challenge groups and this program comes with portion control containers. This is what I use to portion out my food. So you are going to grab your red container and just start scoop out of your chicken and ground turkey and bagging up each individual portion. That's your protein for the week. If you are doing two weeks you can freeze the other week and then thaw out at the end of week 1. 

After your sweet potatoes cool down you will scoop the filling out of the skins and use your yellow container to portion and baggy up. Grab your brown rice and portion out with your yellow container as well and baggy. These are your healthy crabs for the week. 

Veggies are in the freezer ready to just grab and you will use your green to portion that out.

Place all your baggies in plastic containers so you can just grab. I baggy all of my chicken and then put it in a container so i can just grab each one. 


This is how I stay on track when i'm traveling, visiting family, or visiting friends. You just pack your food and bring it with you. Super simple. It will change your life! 

My Favorite dish with this is to grab my chicken, sweet potato, peas, or sautéed spinach in coconut oil, and add a blue container of avocado and some hot sauce. Seriously Delish. It's great with Brown Rice too. It's like a Mexican bowl you could do a taco salad too with the ground turkey. So many ideas with it all prepped and ready to go. 



That's pretty much it! Turn up some tunes or put on your favorite movie and spend the next hour or two setting your week up for success! You got this ... You can totally do this! Your life will be CHANGED and you will feel amazing.

Ummm... It Christmas seriously over!??! I can't believe it! I'm like in shock that there is 2 days left of 2014. I feel like it was just January 2014!?!? Anyone else feel this way? It went by SO FAST this year. I'm SO excited for what 2015 has to offer. I have BIG goals for my groups this year as well as my own personal fitness goals. I have accomplished some pretty amazing things this year but this is only the TIP of the Ice burg for what 2015 has to offer. So I've been thinking of ways that I can make my challenge groups even BETTER so that I can provide the best accountability and support to my customers. I'm creating Monday Mindset Videos to help you get your mind straight each week, more daily tips, recipes, and so much more!! 

My Brand New Group Kicks Off Monday January 5th, 2015!! 


January is always a busy month for Health and Fitness. It's the time that most are sick and tired of being sick and tired and have their mind set to make a change. It's just like any gym that's packed come Jan 1st. But you know what ..... SADLY by February the gym is already slowing down and people are falling out like Hot Cakes. WHY!??!? 
So here is my take on it because I have totally been one of those people that EVERY YEAR made the resolution to get in the best shape of my life and I was finally ready. I would go into the gym do every single class, show up daily, and am HYPED up to get my Fitness on. THEN I would worry that what I was doing wasn't really working, I wasn't seeing results fast enough, and I wouldn't always know my way around the gym. I would go home and eat what I always ate and never end up with lasting results. I had NO idea what clean eating was and I truly didn't understand the idea of GOOD nutrition. I would work my butt off for one week, cut back a little, but I wouldn't see results so I would just resort back to my old ways and feeling just like I did when I started. SAD and ready for a change. I was un doing EVERYTHING that I was working for in the gym. I even hired a personal trainer one year. I would follow the workouts he had laid out for me and then hit fast food on the way home. I was never checked on or had that daily motivation to help me actually stick to the program that was set for me. I had no idea if I was doing all the workouts right and I was left to just figure it out and hope for the best. 


So.... YEP!! Just like you I would give up, do the bare minimum, and pretty much settle with that I was meant to be "BIG BONED" and I couldn't beat family genetics. 

Here is what I now know and this little NUGGET of Information has forever changed my life. It totally takes more than 2 weeks to see results and your nutrition is 80% of your results. I was a low fat, sugar free, fat free girl .... NOPE all of that stuff is GARBAGE! You will never see the results you are after eating that way. 


So here I am 8 months post partum with my second baby girl and I was Desperate! I found this amazing challenge group. I had no idea it was actually going to work, I only hoped it would. I just knew nothing else was working and I was in desperate need to feel better about myself. I honestly didn't think a home workout would give me the results it did. I thought the only way was to hire a personal trainer and kill yourself in the gym. 

Here is what I did learn - 90 Days of Turbo Fire, Shakeology, Clean Eating, and a Challenge Group: 


1. 80% of your Results WILL come from your Nutrition!! 
You can work out like a crazy person, do cardio until your pass out, but if you continue to eat poorly you won't see the results you are after.

2. You will never ever run out of SUPPORT! 
Honestly, I know with out a doubt I wouldn't of been able to stick to this lifestyle this long with about the amazing support system I have. Having the ability to check into a group daily and see a wide range of other women doing it right along with you was the SECRET to my success. I would check in  if I was struggling with getting up to do my workout or with a craving and I always ad somewhere there to cheer me on. I was given tips and suggestions on how to make this work for my lifestyle and I was ALWAYS loved on for not giving up and sticking with it. I could see that I wasn't the only one struggling that there were other people just like me struggle just as well but we could all come together and help each other through the tough times. I finally realized that we all have these demons that speak to us about not getting results fast enough or having a wicked craving and it gave me a sense of peace to know that I wasn't the only one who was struggling. I made some amazing friendships in my challenge group, the way I looked at life completely changed, and my body transformed!! I WAS A SUCCESS STORY and Still Am!! 



3. I have to be told exactly what to do and Follow a SYSTEM! 
I wanted the guess work taken out of everything. I want to know that something works if I'm going to put in the effort, I want a plan laid out for me that is going to give me the results i'm after. 
I needed a schedule and specific plan laid out so I could just execute. The thing I love about Beachbody programs is they are PROVEN to get results before they are even released to buy. A schedule of al your workouts is laid out in the right order they need to be, a nutrition guide is laid out for that specific workout, so you know exactly what to eat, and I love love love that they have the portion control containers so that I know exactly how much to eat each and every day and of what food group. It complexity takes the guess work out of nutrition!! 


4. Shakeology I'll admit I was a total skeptic of this part of the formula. I went months with out adding it in my diet. I wasn't sure of the whole thing and didn't think I truly needed it. I was a couch Mom who had ZERO energy. I hated waking up every day feeling like I didn't sleep what so ever when I really slept 8 hours. Can you relate? Well it's probably because you aren't giving your body the nutrition it truly needs. Shakeolgoy isn't a quick fix, protein shake, or weight loss shake. It's a complete meal, 1 meal a day you don't even have to think about that is complete and full of everything you need, you will have more energy, less cravings for junk and sweets, and totally feel amazing. Previously I would run through fast food or get a mid day Starbucks but I keep packets of Shakeolgoy with me and a shaker cup and there isn't a need for that junk anymore. 

This was nutrition that I wasn't getting before! I felt better, I was more confident, and I rocked the crap out of my workouts. It's not an understatement when I say it has changed my life. It's my daily multivitamin. 



5. Challenge Groups will give you the ACCOUNTABILITY you need!! 
Now that I'm a coach, I am also held accountable to myself and my challengers! I'm leading the way and I know that in order to ask someone to do something you have to be doing it as well. I wake up every morning to do my workout because I know that others are looking up to me to lead the way and inspire them to push through. I inspire other to start TODAY and keep going even when things get tough. My whole reason for becoming a coach was to PAY IT FORWARD and show other Mommas that they could still have their body back after babies and feel great about themselves. Even if I only helped ONE person it would be worth it. This is what DRIVES Me to keep pushing forward and offer others the best fitness programs and nutrition.

The requirements are this:

You make me your coach by going to my site and creating a free profile which makes me your COACH!

Together we decide what fitness program will best meet your needs.  You are required to do a Beachbody Fitness program{I will help you make the decision as to what fits you best}

You are required to replace Shakeology with 1 meal each day for the very best results.  My goal is to teach you how to plan and prepare the other meals of the day so that you get the results you are looking for.  At the end of the 60 days the choice is yours to continue with Shakeology or not!

It's coming in to the holidays and I know that normally means it's time to forget about YOU and focus on everyone else!! NOPE, not this year!! As a Mom, Wife, and Business Owner I know how easy it is to put yourself on the back burner and just forget about YOU until you look in the mirror one day and don't recognize yourself. You haven't showered in three days let alone have time to fit in a workout. 

Well i'm asking you to do this one little favor for yourself TOGETHER ... Let's Become and FIND the Best Version of YOU!! 2.  Then together WE pick a fitness program through Team Beachbody that fits your needs. It does not matter what your ability level is, I have something for you!

3.  You are REQUIRED to replace 1 meal a day with Shakeology ONLY for the duration of the group. Once it is over you can decide if you have enough healthy recipes in your pocket to prepare meals without needing shakeology or if you find its convenient and it takes care of 1 meal you can keep going!  I still 2 years later drink Shakeology daily.

4.  Then, it is required that you participate in the online closed group daily.  Each day I will share a tip, recipe, motivation or meal plan.  You check in, rate your day and get your inspiration for the next 24 hours.  You can log in whenever you want just as long as  I know you are there it's all good!

I am your personal support system so that you actually start, finish and truly succeed at changing your lifestyle.  I will share with you the recipes that my family loves along with the quick easy recipes that don't take a lot of prep!

Meet Samantha, a challenger in team Fit Fighters challenge groups and now an Emerald Coach on my team. She lost  since January of this year. She started her journey with the T25 Challenge Pack. 60 days of T25 and Shakeology and these were her results.

"So the anticipation has been killing some of you more then me so here it is...down 35 lbs in 60 days. I started this as a spiritual journey and through prayer and most days only through prayer was I able to accomplish what I have this far. My journey is far from over but I am pushing forward. I am so ready for the next thirty" - Samantha 



This is seriously such  drastic change in pictures each month! We look at ourselves daily and even though the scale may not be moving change is happening. I'm telling you don't always measure you're success by the sale. Take pictures, compare them, and know that change is happening. We see ourselves daily and as we look in the mirror it's hard to see those changes that are occurring because they are little each day but in the end add up to be something big.

Samantha was in our 21 day fix challenge group. Every day she was dedicated, committed, and engaged on a daily basis with the group. She checks in daily to hold herself accountable and has made a complete lifestyle change since joining the group. The last 3 days Samantha followed the 3 day quick fix that is included in the fix nutrition plan. I can say that it truly does work and gave that extra WOW factor at the end of her transformation. 



I know that many of you ask if these challenge groups and programs work. I also get asked if someone can really see results in only 21 days but when you see results like these from a real person and a body you can relate to it totally just assures that leap of faith.

Quinoa "Fried" Rice



This is one of my all time favorite meals EVER! It's so easy to make, so good for you, and packed with flavor. I could literally eat a little bit at every meal.

I like to make a big batch of this and eat it with meals through out the week. You can pair it with a lean protein such as fish, chicken breast, ground turkey. 


Ingredients :

1 cup Quinoa 

2 cups water 

Bag of frozen carrots and peas 

1/4 cup light soy sauce 


Directions: 

Boil the water and once boiled add in the quinoa. 
It will take about 10 minutes to cook - Follow the directions on the  box

Once the quinoa is done add it into a frying pan with the frozen peas and carrots and soy sauce. 

Mix together!! DONE!

Why Beachbody Coaching!??! My Story!

Today I was sitting and reflecting on my team of coaches and how much we have grown over this last year. I remember sitting here in this same month last year staying up crazy late every night, picking my brain, and trying to do everything I can to make it to the top. I believed I could do it but it still felt like it wasn't real.

Today I sit here 16 months into my business as a 2 star Premiere Beachbody coach and a Success Club 10 All Star. I am going on a cruise next month with my husband, all expenses paid and an extra $1,000 spending money.

One word comes to mind - BLESSED!

I say this over and over again but If I could scream it I totally would - In fact I just might!!

I wanted to share with you a little inside peak of what my life looks like day to day. The normal is my little one sitting next to me enjoying a snack or coloring, I'm enjoying some coffee or a Shakeology, and listening to some personal development or checking in with my challengers. Then I normally log off, spend some time building blocks, playing outside, or coloring together. Once she goes down for a nap I get to work on my business. I really do get the best of both worlds!!

Here is a collection of some posts that I have on my FB page to show you what I do every day! I literally share my fitness journey, inspire others to eat clean, share pictures of my coaches success, post pictures of my girls, and just be a positive influence. I don't do anything fancy. I wasn't a LUCKY DRAW or HIT THE LOTTERY! I literally put in the work each day. Treat this like a BUSINESS instead of a hobby and then show others how to do the same. I have a bachelors degree in Business but Beachbody Coaching IS my job!! I have a degree I don't even use. You don't have to have ANYTHING special to do well in this business. All you need is an open heart, determination, passion, a computer or smart phone, and a drive to follow your dreams.

Now, how did I get started in this whole Beachbody thing and what is it exactly!?!? I made a video for you explaining where I started and how this fell in my lap. I am thankful EVERYDAY for this whole team and thing that just kind of found ME! I really was just a Mom who was looking to loose my baby weight and learn about clean eating. I had no idea I was joining the best team in Beachbody or that I would even become a coach, let alone become a successful coach. However, I did know that I was a stay at home Mom who loved her girls but felt alone, isolated, and that I needed something more. As soon as this opportunity began to blossom I felt alive again!! I was able to be a better Mother, Wife, and Friend. I am able to communicate with ADULTS all day long and sit next to my babies. I have a meaning and a purpose. I know you stay at home Mommy's can relate!! 

Anyways, I'll cut the writing short so you can watch my story, in a little 8 minute nut shell. It has been SUCH an incredible year for my team, and I feel so lucky to be a part of something so GOOD. There is nothing better than serving others and being rewarded in return. 




 If you haven't started your transformation yet!! That's okay! That's actually PERFECT you have the chance to join my challenge group and during your own personal journey you are able to inspire others to follow you and join you. You don't have to have the perfect body, have wash board abs, or be picture perfect. You only need to have a desire to work on yourself daily, help others through their personal weightless journey, and if you follow the principals I teach you - You will have Success. 

Here is a run down of what I do daily as a coach! 

I wake up at 5am to get my workout in, check in with challengers, read/listen to 30 minutes of personal development and get a shower in before my girls wake up. 

I then have breakfast with my girls, walk my oldest to school, and then walk home and watch cartoons with my 2 year old. 

During that time I check e-mails, messages, and post on Instagram while we cuddle. 

I then shut things down for a little bit so that Brooklyn and I can spend some time together playing or cleaning together. 

About 12 pm she goes down for a nap and this is the time I blog, make videos, and create ads/posts to use. 

I then go pick up my oldest from school and together we do homework, cook dinner, and clean up before Daddy comes home. 

Some days I have zoom calls with my apprenticeship coaches and during that time i'll have my girls play outside in the yard. 

We then eat dinner, have baths, and get ready for bed. 

After I get my girls in bed there are a few nights a week I stay up a little extra to work on some things, check in with challengers, and chat with potential challengers. The other nights I take off and watch a movie with the hubs. 

It's all about finding balance in your life. Loving your job but having the freedom to spend time with your family when you want.

Top Reasons Why I Love my Job as a Beachbody Coach

So if you don't already know ... now you do - I am a 2 Star Diamond Premiere Beachbody Coach that finished my first year in the business number 182 out of 130,000 coaches.

A little over a year ago, 14 months to be exact I found my amazing job. However, I never thought it would ever become what I now call "my job". I had just came out of my first challenge group where I did TurboFire and lost 35 lbs in 90 days. I signed up to be coach only to get a discount on the products. Military has the opportunity to have all coach fees waived and use the discount for free. It was a good deal to me. I had no intention at all to actually "coach". In my head I didn't believe that my transformation was worthy or good enough to be "coach" material. In my head I believed that I had to have the PERFECT BODY (define that?!) to coach anyone else. I was quiet, didn't have the confidence to invite anyone, and didn't have a clue how to start this journey but I knew that I wanted to inspire others to live a more healthy and fulfilling life. I felt FANTASTIC and I knew that the challenge group I had just come out of was LIFE CHANGING.

So I went out and gave this whole coach thing a try. Just me a military wife, who started her journey in Australia, to Texas, to Hawaii, online student, and Mom of two girls.. who were One and Four at the time. We had just PCS'd to Hawaii and were stuck in a Hotel for 2 months with our kids. This was the moment I started my coaching journey. I did my workouts in my hotel room and shared my journey. I'm telling you if I can do it from a hotel room with two kids - You can too.

I never planned for this to turn in to something so huge for me, but It did. I knew that I had hit on something. I was able to inspire and help others physically and finically. With out boring you with my long story you may have heard a few times I'm going to go over my top reasons why I have the best job  EVER and why I truly love what I do.

1. You do not have to be PERFECT, have the perfect body, or be at your goal weight to be apart of this business.

            

I wasn't at my goal weight when I started as a coach. In fact I was just at the tip of my transformation. I still had more to loose but every day I woke up and SHARED my workouts, my meals, my recipes, and my journey and people wanted to follow and get the same results. I was just a regular person INSPIRING others to do the same. I was their biggest cheerleader and a normal person just like them. While i was helping others I got to work on my self.

This whole year I was able to make an income, help others get results, mentor coaches to work their business, and get in the best shape of my life.
2. I get to turn my Fitness into a business. 

I love working out and I love having the daily motivation to get out of bed every morning. Being a coach gives me that extra accountability. I know that I have challengers depending on me and I depend on them. I have several groups cheering me on and feeding me positive energy. I don't think that it could get any better than that. We all want to be fit but when you get to work on yourself, help others, and earn an income that seriously is the icing on the cake. Who doesn't want to get paid to work on yourself daily!?!? 







3. I'm able to work on my time, stay home with my girls, and take vacations when I want to - While still getting paid. I can work from anywhere at anytime. It's called FREEDOM. 

I have the freedom to work as much or as little as I want. I can decide my own hours, work for myself, and control the amount of money I want to make. 

Every morning I wake up at 5am, take my Energy and Endurance (Beachbody's pre workout formula) and head out to my garage to workout. I'm normally done between 5:30am - 6am. I then go in, take a shower, and spend the last 40 mins before my girls get up to check e-mails, check into my challenge groups, coach apprenticeship groups, and post a motivational picture on FB and Instagram. 

I then wake my sweet girls up, give them kisses, make them breakfast, get them dressed and walk my oldest to school. 

Monday & Thursdays - Brooklyn goes to the sitters to play for the first half of the day. So far she loves it and it gives me a little time to work on my business. When it's work time .. it's game on and I have a list of things i'm getting done in that time frame. At 2pm I go and get my oldest from school and pick up my youngest from the sitters. We then come home, snuggle, and watch a movie. Some days I have a team call and my girls sit next to me most of the time and say hi. I then make dinner for my family, normally take a picture to share :) , and then we all sit down and have dinner. Until about 9pm i'm with my family and have certain nights planned out where the whole night is hubby and I's time. Before Bed I check in with challengers and read my personal development book. 

On the days that my daughter doesn't go to the sitters we play together, go to church, and watch cartoons. 

The weekends are family time. So I get up extra early to get my work done and the rest of the day is for them. 

I love that I'm able to work when I want and never miss a thing. It's the best feeing in the world!! I would never replace this feeling to be completely free to work when I want. 



4. I've met the Best Friends a girl could ever ask for! 

When I came to this Island I didn't know anyone. I was worried how I was going to meet more people and gain those friendships I so desperately wanted. As I look back and connect every friend or person I know today on this island most of them I met through Beachbody. They were either a challenger of mine or are a coach on my team. These are the girls that I go to the beach with, go to girls nights with, host play dates with, and run half marathons. Some of these people I have no idea where I would be today with out them. I am beyond thankful for the friendships that were made through this journey. I feel like i'm apart of a sorority. Not only do I have my personal team that I get to talk to daily but I also have the entire Dream Team and Bombshell Dynasty that I'm apart of. I just came back from a weekend in Pittsburg celebrating each of our success with in the business and just spending time together bonding. It's so amazing to gain such amazing bonds with a group of inspiring and uplifting people.

I truly love my amazing team!! They give me so much hope and happiness. I love mentoring them, chatting with them to see how they are doing, and just helping them build a successful business helping others. Not only that, I love the friendships I've been able to develop. My team is totally killing it and I'm so proud of them!!

5. I am able to take my husband on an amazing cruise that is completely paid for.
On top of that I also have an extra $1,000 spending money just by leading by example every month, reaching my goals, and helping others reach their weight loss goals. This cruise is just the icing on the cake. It was earned just by doing what I love every day and building my business. In March of this year the husband and I will be on a cruise with celebrity trainers and a bunch of amazing positive BB coaches. I also get to spend some QT with my team and just bond. 6. Everyday I am able to watch others grow and transform.
