Team Fit Fighters Weight Loss Transformations



Hey Fit Fam!! So I wanted to do a little post today on some transformations going on over here in our challenge groups. I mean seriously, they are killing it!!! We just finished up our last week of Piyo and I am loving the results that have been submitted to me. I am too excited to share with you. 

In my challenge groups we focus on clean eating. Every day we post our sweaty pictures, motivate each other, and hold each other accountable. We all start and finish together. I really focus on helping the ladies who join me create a LIFESTYLE instead of just a quick fix. That's why we post our menu plans weekly, talk about batch cooking, meal prepping, and grocery shopping weekly so that everything is planned out for the week ahead. I totally get that life can be busy and that is one of the main reasons many don't commit to a new healthy lifestyle. I'm here to tell you that my challengers are made up of all kinds of people and many work full time and have several kids but they still make it happen and they get AMAZING results!?!? WHY NOT YOU!??!

Over this last year and 1/2 I have had this amazing job that has allowed me to watch people transform mentally and physically right before my eyes. 


It's been the most rewarding thing I've ever been apart of and the best part is It's MY JOB! I get paid to do this!! Not only do I get to watch others transform but I get to watch MYSELF transform. The principals that I have learned, drinking shakeology daily, and doing my workout programs has also allowed me to transform myself. Over the past 2 years I've transformed and went from an unhealthy, sluggish, depressed size 13 to a happy, healthy, fit, and confident size 4. Again, this is my JOB!! I earn money just by sharing my own results and inspiring others to do the same. I've learned how to turn FITNESS into a BUSINESS!

It is so humbling to find your true passion in life, help others, and work on yourself all at the same time as earning an income for your family.
Whatever your goals are do it with PASSION, do it FEARLESS, and be FIERCE!! You have the power to be whatever you want to be.

Enough about ME I want to share with you some awesome results!!! 

The first little lady is Alissa Tarner -- Now a coach on my team. She started her journey with the 21 day fix and from then on went to Piyo. She had a baby not even a year ago and her tummy is looking AWESOME. I know you momma's can relate about how happy you are to have your little one but you just aren't digging what you are seeing in the mirror. I felt the same way.

Amazing right!??! But she doesn't stop there, she goes on to 60 days of Piyo and ends up with this

NOW that is amazing!!! I am so proud of her!!! She has transformed right before my eyes. She is an amazing coach and has truly put in the work to get the results. 


I have another amazing challenger and coach, Kyla Senecal who has amazing results. When I met her she had a 4 month old little baby boy. She was working hard to loose the baby weight but was looking to improve her eating and also fell in love with the idea of doing Piyo to add in with her running. I went to the beach with her the other day and couldn't keep my eyes off her tummy. It was SMOKING. She has seriously done amazing. Her baby boy is now 9 months old and she is looking awesome but most of all is a wonderful example of health and fitness to her two little boys. That's really the most important above all is breaking the chain of obesity and bad habits. Every Mom wants nothing more then the best for their kids.

Super proud of each and every person who just graduated from my Piyo challenge group. They all seriously killed it. They were engaged the full 60 days and it paid off. I know it's not always easy but when you surround yourself with a community who is always there to get you back on track, success is so much easier.

Oven "Fried" Chicken Chimichanga

Ingredients:

This makes 6 Chimichangas 

  • 2/3 cup picante sauce or 2/3 cup your favorite salsa
  • teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked chicken breast, chopped
  • cup part skim shredded cheddar cheese
  • green onions, chopped with some tops (about 1/4 cup)
  • 6 (8 inch) Ezekiel wraps or 100% whole wheat wraps. 
  • tablespoons olive oil
  • shredded cheddar cheese, for serving
  • chopped green onion, for serving
  • picante sauce, for serving

Directions:

  1. 1
    Mix chicken, picante sauce or salsa, cumin, oregano, cheese and onions.
  2. 2
    Place about 1/4 cup of the chicken mixture in the center of each tortilla.
  3. 3
    Fold opposite sides over filling.
  4. 4
    Roll up from bottom and place seam-side down on a baking sheet.
  5. 5
    Brush with olive oil
  6. 6
    Bake at 400°F for 25 minutes or until golden.
  7. 7
    Garnish with additional cheese and green onion and serve salsa on the side.

Piyo Week 6 - Meal Plan and Progress Update



Happy Monday!

It's time to get back on track! I've totally been slacking these last few weeks with getting in my workouts and giving my all. So here I am starting FRESH with Week 6 and giving this week my all! My meals will be prepped and ready to go and I know that I'm going to crush this. But even though I totally feel off track and like i'm slacking in the food and workout department I've been getting compliments that I look thinner!! YAY! That's always a win.

Sometimes I put so much work in to my challengers a coaches that I put myself on the back burner. TISK TISK - SO this week i'm MAKING SURE that I give myself that time because I know it's important. I preach all the time about having that "ME" time so time to practice what I Preach!

Piyo Sweat, Piyo Meal Plan and Progress Update

Piyo Sweat has to be one of my favorite workouts because just like it says I SWEAT!! Love a good sweat session. It shows me that It's WORKING! Of course getting new workout clothes always motivates me too. This is a new workout outfit from TJ MAXX - My all time favorite place to shop for my workout gear. Cheap, name brand, and cute! Reward yourself with new workout clothes every time you reach a goal.


I got most of my things to prep for the week but need to go to the grocery story and grab a few things. My husband worked yesterday so this week is a PREP MONDAY! However, I did have my Shakeolgoy for Breakfast and Greek Yogurt for a snack and getting ready to have my salad for lunch. 

Totally going in full force prep mode - Maybe i'll share some pictures with you guys in my next blog post :) 

I know that prepping can be a struggle for a lot of people. It's hard to know exactly what to eat, when to eat it, what to pair it with, and how much to eat. I totally want to help you take the thinking out of it and just DO IT! It really is quite easy once you get the hang of it.

Week 4 Piyo Meal Plan and Progress Update

Alright it's OFFICIALLY Week 5 in the HOUSE ..... I'm excited to get into week 5 and turn up the FIRE!! I'll tell you I went in to this thing not thinking I would get really good results and that it would be too low impact for me. I'm proven WRONG every single week. I really feel my core tightening up and my flexibility and balance getting stronger. For someone who is a runner this is working WONDERS for me. I feel like my runs are easier and my strides are much better. Loving this!

Every workout i'm thinking "was that enough" but the next day i'm always sore and feeling the burn. I know with out a doubt this program is working. I don't really want to lose any weight, just want to tone up, and improve flexibility. 

I know that the heat is about to be turned up this next month and I'm ready!! I know that Chalene Johnson designed this program to give good results. She is trust worthy and she knows her stuff. Her program, TurboFire was the very first program I committed to 2 years ago and I got in the best shape of my life. Her nutrition plans rock and I know she put together a program that is designed PERFECT! I'm trusting the process and pushing through. 

I get a lot of challengers in my groups who don't see results in the first week and decide to just quit. These programs are designed to give you the best results and they have been tested. Trust the process people and KNOW that just because you aren't dripping in sweat, spending hours in a gym, or feeling "it" doesn't mean the results aren't coming. Put all you can in the full 60 days, give it all you got, and the results will COME! Pinky Promise! Don't forget why you started, don't jump to the next thing because it doesn't give you that "quick fix" .... Keep going and I promise the Prize will come with Consistency and Dedication. 

I use to be one of those people that would jump to one fad diet to the next in hopes of getting quick results. The moment I decided to change my eating habits, take before pictures, measurements, and just wake up ever day with the intention to do my best -- The results just CAME! Not over night, Not in ONE day, Two days, Three days, or even a week but OVER TIME!! 

In fact my mind was so screwed up that I didn't even compare my pictures when I did TurboFire because I couldn't SEE the results I didn't believe I had any. It wasn't until I decided to compare Day 1 to that moment that my mind was blown. I'm telling you people .... every single time you choose that healthy meal over fast food, do a workout, and prep your meals for the week, CHANGE IS HAPPENING!! Know that every little bit does matter. 



I can tell you that I totally feel some NON SCALE VICTORIES through this phase. 
I can hold a plank longer than ever, I can do more of the tricep push-ups than I could in the beginning and I am doing a lot more of the advanced moves that I couldn't do in the beginning. Totally seeing the changes little by little -- Day by Day!!

This week I did some Hardcore prepping and I loved it. I felt more focused this week than ever before. It's nothing fancy but it kept me full and satisfied. 

Aspragus and Green beans are the veggies that I don't mind sticking with each and every day so that's what i'm sticking with. Got to find what you love and then just make it happen. 

So here is what I prepped this week: 
Meatloaf Muffins - This recipe made 12. So it was a perfect snack for the week
Roasted Root Melody for my healthy carb 
I made a big batch of Quinoa 
I baked some chicken breasts. This week I'll share my baked chicken recipe. It's YUMMY
I steamed some Asparagus and Green beans. I boiled a pot of water and threw in the asparagus for about 5 minutes and then tossed it in cold water and ice to stop the cooking process. I then topped it with a little salt. I did the same thing with the green beans. First I cut off all the stems and then boiled. 
I also had some mushrooms on hand so I sliced those up and pan sautéed them in siracha hot sauce
and a little light soy sauce. So good. Then I just put it over my veggies.
Then I took my strawberries, blackberries, and blue berries, sliced it all up and threw it in a Tupperware and a little lemon juice. 
This was perfect for my greek yogurt for my am snack.

Easy Egg White Muffins



You don't have time for a healthy breakfast in the morning? Now you cant use that excuse anymore. This recipe is so easy and it's conveniently grab and go. 

Egg-White Muffins. 

Makes 12 muffins. 
Preheat oven to 350 and spray your muffin pan with Pam. 

Chop up your favorite veggies. For this batch I did red peppers, zucchini and chives. 

Crack open 20 eggs and separate the egg white from the yolk. Put the egg whites in the bowl with the veggies. Add salt and pepper to taste and sir well. 

Fill your muffin pan with the egg whites and bake for about 25-30 minutes. 

Enjoy right away or store in the fridge for the mornings.

Clean Eating Meal Ideas - Clean Eating Made SIMPLE!





All the time I get people coming to me for ideas on what to have as snacks and breakfast that is clean and healthy. 

MOST of the time people are looking for breakfast ideas because of a few reasons. Ask your self which category you fit in? 

1. They Skip Breakfast and are looking for something quick to have. 

2. Don't have time to make breakfast in the morning so instead go through a drive through or grab donuts at the office. 

3. Aren't really sure what is healthy, clean, or good for you so they have cereal or pre packaged meals. 


So which one do you fit in!?!? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so seriously make sure you prep your breakfasts, wake up earlier to cook something, or invest in Shakeology
My favorite and what I recommend to all of my challengers for either Breakfast or Lunch!! Sometimes even DINNER! It's a nutrition, meal replacement, shake that is equal to over 7 trips to the salad bar but taste like desert!!

So here are my breakfast ideas! I hope this helps you when you are meal planning for the week!! It's so important to eat right when you wake up to rev up your metabolism and get your body burning calories.

At lunch time I normally keep it pretty simple. I'll eat something left over from the night before.

A lot of people only eat 3 meals a day IF THAT! I have to tell you that you can just as much hurt your self by eating too much by not eating enough. Part of the reason you might not be losing weight but eating healthy is because you aren't eating enough. Snacks keep your metabolism going all day long to continue burning calories and building muscle. It also helps maintain your sugar levels and prevent you from overeating at meal time. 
I know that most offices keep a ton of goodies around and have vending machines but the biggest tip that I could give you is PACK YOUR MEALS AND SNACKS!! Stay away!! 
If you want to see results, feel better, have more energy, and live longer ... Pack your meals and eat clean!

21 Day Fix Transformations

YEP ... It's #transformation tuesday people!! That means it's time to take a look at how all my 21 day fix challenge groups are doing and share with you some of their results. At one point I had about 4 Fix challenge groups going and ROCKING it out!! I love this program and it's totally changed so many of my challengers lives. It's crazy how much your body can change and respond in only 21 days when you are using portion control and clean eating. I think that most people think of when they hear the 21 day fix is "oh, that's just a QUICK FIX" well answer is NO. The principals taught in this program are principals you will always keep with you. You are being taught proper portion control and also gives you a variety of food to choose from to form balanced meals that your whole family will love. I make chicken and shrimp stir fry that the entire family loves, grilled fish, turkey burgers with sweet potatoes but am able to give myself the correct portions. I can even have my properly portioned wine. I love how EASY it is and it really is a great tool for anyone that is in need of some serious guidance in clean eating or wanting to learn how to use portion control.

Not only do you get an amazing nutrition plan to get you on track but you also get 21 Days worth of 30 minute workouts that includes a schedule of exactly what to do. It's literally no brainer, you just have to #pressplay and do it. All you need to do is give me THREE MONDAYS, No need to spend hours in the gym. Just 30 minutes a day for 21 days. I seriously love Autumns workouts!! They totally keep me engaged, excited every time, and I am literally spent after most workouts. It really is a great workout in the amount of time you are given. This transformation above is proof that just because these scale doesn't move does NOT mean that you aren't getting results. Michelle actually gained 3 pounds but lost inches obviously. Throw that scale away and realize that you are replacing muscle with fat and it weighs more!

Lunchtime!! Spinach, cherry toms, baby carrots, a fresh beet, a splash of yellow sweet pepper (3 green), feta cheese (1blue), baked chicken (recipe in the book, page 49- 1 red), and balsamic vinaigrette (page 56 and is delicious - 1 orange). Bon appetite! Oh and water! - Dede H

Most of my challengers decided on doing another round of The 21 Day Fix or have decide to use the Fix nutrition plan and start a new Beachbody program.

Clean Eating Monday - Week worth of Clean Eating Dinner Recipes !!


So, I haven't done this in awhile but these clean eating dinner menu's are one of the most popular posts on my blog so I wanted to bring in this monday with a week full of clean eating dinners that you can use. Make big batches to have for lunches and be set up for the entire week. It's so important to eat 5-6 small meals a day so that you can keep your metabolism running and a FAT burning machine!!! I also like to follow the clean eating diet so most of my meals eliminate a lot of processed extras.

If you are looking to eat clean and don't know where to start I would love to help you!!

I know how frustrating it can be in the beginning when choosing what is "bad" vs "good"!

So here is a weeks worth of clean dinners Monday-Friday. I normally have ONE cheat meal a week or "happy" meal as I like to call it. Where I eat what I want. ONLY ONE MEAL though!! I enjoy it and then move on!! I don't crazy bingeing either. I simply just have a meal, glass of wine, dessert. Something along those lines.

Monday - Spaghetti Squash and Turkey Meat Sauce I normally pair this with a spinach salad!! Spaghetti always tastes good with a good garden salad to pair it with. 

Tuesday- Clean Tomato Soup This is good ALLL on it's own!! SERIOUSLY! Amazing! 

Wednesday - Thai Chicken Meatballs This is one of my favorite meals and it totally feels like you are charting so watch your portion control here. 

Thursday - Creamy Taco Soup THE BEST!!! Try it NOW! 

Friday - Pita Pizzas Simple yet so delicious Top as many veggies as you want on this baby. I love adding feta instead of reg cheese along with mushrooms and spinach.

Southwestern Stuffed Sweet Potatoes





I found this recipe on pinterest and from that moment I knew that I had to try this recipe out for myself. 1. I love sweet potatoes.
2 . I love mexican food

So I knew this would be a winner for me!! I know you are going to love it too. I made a bunch of them and had them for a few lunches during the week. I also topped it with avocado. UGH! Delish. I'm for sure going to have to make these again soon.



  • Ingredients : 

  • 3 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1 (15 oz) can corn, or 1.5 cups frozen corn, rinsed and patted dry
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mexican oregano (optional)
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 (15 oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup greek yogurt 
  • 1 to 3 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced or pureed
  • 6 Tablespoons shredded cheese 
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line the sweet potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until fork tender. Remove from the oven and allow to set until cool enough to handle.
While the sweet potatoes are cooling, saute the corn in a dry heavy skillet over medium high heat. Sprinkle with salt, cumin, chili powder and Mexican oregano. Cook until the corn is roasted and browned (about 7 to 10 minutes). Transfer to a small bowl; set aside.
Wipe the skillet clean and heat the Tablespoon of olive oil. Add the onions and cook until just tender. Transfer to the bowl with the corn. Add the black beans and cilantro to the onion and corn. Gently stir to evenly mix.
When the sweet potatoes are cool enough to handle, cut them in half, lengthwise. Carefully scoop out the flesh, into a large mixing bowl, leaving the skins intact. (Try leaving a thin layer of potato to help the skin hold together.)
Add greek yogurt, chipotle pepper(s) and salt to the mixing bowl with the sweet potatoes. Mash with a potato masher or blender to desired texture. Gently stir in the roasted corn, onions, black beans and cilantro mix.
Preheat the broiler. Fill each potato skin with the mashed potato mixture*, topping each with 1 Tablespoon of cheese. Broil for 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and hot. Serve immediately with a dollop of home made guacamole or just plan ol' avocado!!

Clean Eating Meal Plan MONDAY !!



HERE IT IS !! Your weeks worth of clean dinners! Now that means you have NO EXCUSES this week right!?!? .. RIGHT!?!? I'm not sure how long i'll keep this little Monday series going but I do love doing it for everyone. I know that it's so hard to put meal plans together when you are just getting started. I used to stare down at the paper like .. DUUUUHHHH! I promise that it truly isn't as hard as it looks. Just cut out the processed extra crap and get down to the basics. Make sure that you practice portion control because you can cook a healthy meal but if you eat two portions you are totally setting yourself up for failure!!  Enjoy and KICK BUTT THIS WEEK!!



Monday - Parmesan Chicken This is awesome with a side salad or grilled Asparagus! YUM! One of my favorites. 

Tuesday - Clean Eating Chicken Fingers & Fries Nothing is needed for this meal. It's perfect for the kiddos!! You can always add salad for yourself !! Your kids are going to LOVE THIS ONE! 

Wednesday - Taco Salad MMM MMM MM .. SERIOUSLY!! Try this!! 

Thursday - Crock Pot Ziti I haven't found ONE person that doesn't love this meal! Practice portion control!! It's hard with this one! 

Friday - Garlic Vegetable Stir - Fry This is so good with a baked sweet potato!! Everyone needs a meatless meal once a week and this one is PERFECT or you can throw in some meat! Whatever!!
