T-25/TurboKick Week 1



SO SO SO ... Here we are again!!!! Vegas is done and over with but I still need to keep my goals in mind and not slack. Over the last 4 weeks I focused on using the "stripped" clean eating plan to really tone up! It was restrictive but it worked and it wasn't horrible. It was something that wasn't too hard to keep up for 21 days. Now I'm ready to rock T-25. I'm so excited about this program because I can pop in a DVD and get a hard core workout in only 25 mins. HELLO .. ----> GOLD! I'm so excited about this program and I'm ready to rock it with my challenge group! I'm going to be doing it right along with them. We are going to have prizes and just really bring this new program in with a BANG!





I am also going to fit in some Body Combat and Turbo Kick at the gym!! I am training to be a Turbo Kick Instructor so I need all the practice I can get so I've been attending the Turbo Kick classes at the gym. I LOVE it but HEY, if i can get a workout in for only 25 mins at HOME! I'm taking it!!! I'm so ready to LOCK IN LOAD and Motivate my challengers to PUSH IT! I know that excitement and motivation is CONTAGIOUS so i'm BRINGING IT! I want each and every person to get amazing results so i'm really going to focus on being present in this challenge group and doing the workouts right along with everyone. I really love this program and I think it's going to really work and be fun at the same time. I did day one Cardio and my booty is screaming today!! I was actually shocked! PAIN = It's WORKING!!!! :)
So what's my plan of action!! Well until the 8th of July I'm going to be mixing it up but once the 8th hits i'm jumping in with my challengers!! 
Week ONE T-25 (I plan on knocking out T-25 everyday and then hitting up some Turbo on days it's available at the gym) 
Monday - Cardio (check NAILED IT or BARLY MADE IT) ... You know which one i'm checking ... NAILED IT! 
Tuesday - Speed 1.0 
Wednesday - Total Body Circuit 
Thursday - Ab Intervals 
Friday - Double Days Lower Focus & Cardio 

BOOM the week is done .. I'll add in some Turbo and Pump On saturday 
However, I seriously think this plan alone is ROCKING and going to give awesome results. I just really love me Gym time and I'm a TURBO FREAK! 


Here is my Meal Plan for the week 
Super excited to add in some things that I haven't been able to have for the last month!! I was limiting my starches and I'm excited that I can have oatmeal and brown rice cakes again!! It's not recommended to do the stripped plan more then a month because your body truly does need these good complex carbs but if you are looking to drop some weight switching it up is always good. Your results are 80% what you eat so make sure you have a plan!! 





So ready to get back on track and finally feel like my sleep schedule is getting back together and I'm able to recover from my log weekend working away in Vegas!! It was a wonderful time and I'm so thankful for the experience ... Now back to business.

Body Pump/TurboFire 8 Week RESULTS!!



I know most of you that follow me are probably wondering where in the world my results and weekly posts are for my Hybrid I've been doing!?!? RIGHT!?!?! Well If not, that's okay too but I seriously DID get some awesome results. Didn't loose much weight but I can totally see the difference in my body. I'm SO excited to reveal my results to you.

I did do Turbo Kick the last few weeks instead of TurboFire but they are pretty much the same only one you do in the gym and the other at home. I am getting Turbo Kick certified and wanted to get some experience in a live class before teaching it myself.

Here is where I started 8 weeks ago .... Start of TurboFire/Pump Hyrbrid



TurboFire is seriously one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE workouts!!! It is so much fun and it's a party every time you push play!! It is the first at home program I ever did and I lost 35lbs in 90 days. Didn't even feel like working out just felt like FUN! I danced, kicked, and punched my way to a better me!!



Les Mills Body Pump is an AWESOME Strength training class. Fun music and it works the entire body with a barbell and weights. The music is really what got me into it. Not only is it fun but it totally transforms your body.


So are you ready for my results? I also followed the clean eating stripped plan for the last 3 weeks of this program. I wanted to be lean and mean for our Beachbody Vegas Trip. I want you to know that you can do the same!! You can be happy, healthy, confident and just look in in a bikini. I want to be that person to help you learn how to create a lifestyle and have fun while you are working out.








































I am seriously in the best shape of my LIFE! I feel amazing and nothing is going to hold me back from what I want in life! I have now realized that everything in life is MIND OVER MATTER!! If you want the body of your dreams ... DO IT
If you want to make enough money to support your family and then some ... DO IT
If you want to get your family on track with eating healthy and improve your health .. DO IT
If you want to do amazing things and have this burning desire to be bigger then what you can even imagine .. GO OUT AND DO IT!

Overcoming these challenges in my life have made me a believer that everything in life is possible. Society bets on us quitting and giving up .. BUT NOT ME! I know better. I know that with constancy, hard work, belief, and faith ANYTHING you want in life is possible.

I have always been a big dreamer since I was little. I was an over weight teen that didn't know how to eat right, suffered from depression, and had suicidal thoughts because I was bullied all through out middle and high school. I had absoloutly no friends, wore a size 13, and would do anything to be part of the "cool" crowd.

I always dreamed of being something bigger, being someone that meant something to others, and becoming something BIG! I didn't know what that was yet. I had a rough start on life but in time I found my way and have no learned that when you don't give up, you keep fighting, and you follow that burning desire, YOU WILL SUCCEED!

This is SO TRUE! If you want to win you have to decide and commit to following your dreams and desires. That means making sacrifices, working hard, and never giving up.

It's not easy to do alone but I want you to know that I've BEEN THERE! I've been in the same exact spot as some of you .. I've wished, blamed others for not getting what I want, and blamed life. As soon as I took the blame off of others and put it on myself THINGS BEGAN TO HAPPEN!

I have a beautiful family, an amazing husband, I'm healthy, I am financially stable, I'm able to make an impact on the world, and I have the body I always wished to have.

Sure, i'm not perfect. I make mistakes everyday but I NEVER give up and I choose to take those mistakes and failures and use them to learn.


So let me leave you with this today ... Do you choose to keep going down the same path or are you going to make a choice today to be HAPPY!?

Roasted Butternut Squash Farro Risotto

Roasted Butternut Squash Farro Risotto


I started The Clean Eating Stripped Plan by Tosca Reno and this recipe was in the book. I am always look for good meatless dinner options and this was SO GOOD! Easy and amazing. Perfect paired with a salad, a grilled chicken breast, or some veggies and hummus. I actually used Quinoa instead of Farro because I already had it on hand and couldn't find the farro. 

It was really good still!! Loved it and I made a big batch to eat through the whole week. 


1/2 butternut squash 
1 Tbsp of Olive Oil 
1/2 tsp of Herbs de Provence
1/2 cup finely chopped shallots
2 cloves of garlic 
1 tsp of thyme 
2 tsp of sage
1 cup of farro
4 cups of low sodium vegtable or chicken broth 


1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Scoop pulp and seeds from squash. Rub flesh and skin of squash 1/2 tsp of olive oil. Sprinkle flesh with herbs de provence and season with salt and pepper. Place squash cut side down on a baking sheet and cook in oven until tender when pierced with a knife, about 45 minutes. Set aside and cool. 

2. Heat 1 Tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shallots, garlic, thyme, and sage, and cook for 3 mins until soft and fragrant. Stir in farro, season with salt and pepper, and allow to cook for two minutes. 

3. Reduce heat to medium-low, stir in half a cup simmering broth and allow to cook until almost completely absorbed. Continuing stirring in 1/2 cup broth at a time, an allowing liquid to absorb before adding more in to the farro is tender, but still slightly chewy, 30-35 mins. 

4. Scrap cooled squash into a bowl and mash. Stir in Risotto. Taste and make any final adjustments to seasoning with salt and pepper. Spoon Risotto into a shallow bowl and top with truffle oil. 

Enjoy. One of my new favorites.

How to Loose the Last 10 lbs


So, you are stuck at those last 10 lbs that just won't seem to budge. They are always the TOUGHEST to get off. Trust me - I'm in that same predicament right now. BUT ... I think I could my answer and it could be your answer too ...



Tosca Reno's Eat Clean Diet Stripped! 

Most of you know that I follow the clean eating principals in my daily life - This plan is set up to peel off those last stubborn pounds. So I downloaded the book off of amazon and am committed to following through with this and getting somer results. Lately, I just haven't been able to get on board with anything and I need something to really get me going again. So I think this is going to be it along with my Shakeology and LesMills BodyPump! It's time to BRING IT !! Summer is right around the corner. So for the next 28 days I'm following the Stripped Diet and I want to bring you right along with me. 

The bare basic Clean Eating Principals - 
Eat more FOOD! I know Odd right !! Eat 5-6 Small meals a day every 2 1/2 - 3 hours. 
Eat Breakfast EVERYDAY - No exception. Jump start your metabolism with in an hour of waking up. 
Don't eat at least 3 hours before bed. Close that Kitchen UP! 
Eat a Combo of lean protein and complex carbs at ever meal
Eat a sufficient amount of healthy fats each day (Nuts, healthy oil, avocado, seeds) 
Drink 2 -3 Liters of Water Everyday
Carry a cooler around with you everyday packed with all of your clean eats
Use Fresh Fruits and Vegetables as a source of fiber, vitamins, nutrients, and enzymes. 
Eat proper portion sizes. 
Eat foods that have not been overly processed, drowsed in chemicals, saturated fats, and toxins. 

This "diet" is meant to get rid of those last 10lbs the healthy way. Not starvations, crash diets, cleanses or harmful detoxes that leave you sitting on the toilet. UM, NO THANK YOU! You are feeding your body the nutrition and supplements it needs to loose the last 10 lbs the RIGHT WAY! 

So... What's allowed on this stripped plan? 


Vegetables allowed: Sweet & Regular Potatoes, Radishes, Carrots, Parsnips, Cucumber, Broccoli, Asparagus, Beets, Leeks, Leafy Greens, Brussel Sprouts, Green Beans, Onions, Sprouts, Celery, Zucchini, Fennel, & Garlic. 

Fruits allowed: Bananas, Apples, Plums, Berries, Pears, Watermelon, Cherries, Oranges, Tomatoes, Limes, and Lemons. 

Protein source allowed: Egg Whites, Lean Turkey, Chicken, and Pork, Beans and Legumes (in moderation), Lean Fish, Shrimp, Clams, Mussels, Bison, and other game meats, Hummus (also a healthy fat), Quinoa, Protein Powder, Tofu, and Tempeh. 

Healthy Fats allowed: Flaxseed, Nuts such as almonds and walnuts (unsalted), Pumpkin seeds, nut butters, hummus (which is also a protein), Nut Butters, Avocado, Oils (Flaxseed, Sesame, Coconut, Olive, Hazelnut, Walnut, and Fish. 

Tosca also talks about having a big glass of warm lemon water every morning to give your body a natural energy boost and detox. I've been doing this for some time but have stopped and have gotten lazy about it - So time to pump it back up and get on it. 

I love that I have my Shakeology to give me that chocolate fix but be totally healthy! Shakeology is going to keep me sane during this process because I feel like i'm cheating with i get my big ol' glass of chocolate shakeology. However, of course it's equal to 5 trips to the salad bar and has more vitamins and nutrients in it then I could ever possibly give my body in one day. The perfect sweet tooth fix when you are cutting back.
